$9 Threadless shirts make me want more shirts!
In an obvious effort to prevent 9/9/09 from being known as Beatles Day, Threadless has dropped all their Ts to just $9!

New new-app rule, RIM
When awesome BlackBerry-sponsored apps are announced, require that they run on the Storm which, by the way, is your "flagship touchscreen device."
Case in point, these two new sweet looking Yahoo! apps:
Not only do they not work on Storm, they'll only work with brand-new less-than-a-year-old 'Berrys...
What happened to the good ol' Curve outselling the competition? You were so proud of that just four short months ago...
Wow, that Ichiro guy is pretty good…

Wow, so Ichiro is the second fastest to 2,000 hits... Just missed beating out a guy I've never heard of (by 12 games), and he beat some pretty lofty company to the mark...
Seattle Mariners vs. Oakland Athletics - Recap - September 06, 2009 - ESPN.
I don’t care how much they paid him, this is a killer setlist…
Rumor has it that Slash (@SlashHudson) was paid 10 million kroner for a single appearance at a festival show in Norway.
Based on this setlist, I think it was worth it.

Nice BT headset at Yugster today
I bought one of these about a month ago. It's pretty nifty... charges directly via USB, and it's actually got a microSD slot, too.
Comes with a piddly 512MB card, but worked fine with an 8GB that I tried.
Not bad for $17.
Yugster's a woot-type site, so once it sells out, it's gone...

Why does it always have to be T-mobile?!
Dammit! Why does T-mobile always get the awesome new devices? First it's the first wave of Andriod phones, and now this sweet top-tier better-than-a-netbook-but-its-a-phone Nokia deal.
I know, I know, it's the network they run; they're just lucky like that (or was it really having the foresight to pick the right frequency bands to run on?). Of course, that's also the reason that I won't have T-mo as my provider: poor coverage.
Oh well, at least I have the Storm2 to look forward to on Verizon...
Quick USB booting Ubuntu howto
(a bit of a self-repost)
download the ubuntu ISO
use unetbootin to copy/extract/make-bootable the ISO to a usb drive (get the windows version, as you'll likely be in windows when you do this):
boot to usb!
follow this to help with partitioning and resizing if necessary:
try not to break anything...
